We recently traveled from Toronto, Canada to Tokyo with our 18-month-old daughter and wanted to ensure we had trusted childcare in place so my husband and I could enjoy some Tokyo nightlife. Prior to our trip, we interviewed several agencies and nannies, and ultimately chose Rainbow Kids Care—specifically Mana—to care for our daughter.
From the moment Mana arrived, she greeted us with the biggest, warmest smile. She immediately connected with our daughter, happily shadowing her as she ran around the lobby, and then kindly assisted us in getting to our hotel room and helping us unpack and settle in for the evening.
We hired Mana for four nights, and each evening was an absolute success. From dinner time and playtime to our daughter’s bedtime routine, Mana handled everything with care and confidence. She consistently sent us thoughtful updates, which made us feel completely at ease while we were out.
Mana has an incredibly warm, loving, and responsible demeanor, giving us total confidence and peace of mind. She went above and beyond by bringing different toys to engage and entertain our daughter, and by the third night, our daughter was genuinely excited to see Mana walk through the door.
We couldn’t have asked for a better experience and highly recommend Mana to any family looking for exceptional childcare while traveling.
Mana was an excellent babysitter, and the service was flawless. I felt so comfortable letting her care for our children. She handled all 3 and taught them some fun origami to boot.

Having a local who truly knows Tokyo—and knows what kids enjoy—made a huge difference. Our children were excited for every outing and came back each time full of stories and smiles.
Her communication was outstanding throughout, and we always knew the kids were safe, happy, and well cared for. It’s clear that she genuinely enjoys spending time with children, and our kids absolutely loved her. We know they’ll carry wonderful memories of Tokyo thanks to the time they spent with Mana.
We highly recommend Rainbow Kids Care Japan, and especially Mana, to any family traveling to Tokyo who needs reliable, thoughtful, and fun childcare. She made our trip so much easier and more enjoyable, and we’re truly grateful for her help.
