Hello! My name is Shuna, and I am a passionate and dedicated childcare provider with seven years of experience. I am half Japanese and half Filipina, fluent in English and Tagalog, with basic conversational skills in Japanese. Throughout my career, I have worked with families from diverse cultural backgrounds, including British, Korean, American, Japanese, Australian, and Argentinian families living in Japan. I have cared for children of all ages, from toddlers to teenagers, and my experiences have allowed me to develop a well-rounded skill set to meet the unique needs of every family I work with.

My journey in childcare began in high school when I started babysitting while balancing my studies. Over the years, I have gained valuable hands-on experience in various aspects of childcare, such as preparing meals, assisting with baths and bedtime routines, and engaging children in creative and educational activities. I enjoy incorporating arts and crafts, reading, and interactive learning into my caregiving to keep children engaged while supporting their development. My goal is to create a safe, loving, and stimulating environment where children feel comfortable, encouraged, and nurtured.

In addition to my practical experience, I have pursued certifications and training to further enhance my skills. I am certified in CPR, have completed a Montessori Early Childhood Education course, and have received training in child psychology. Currently, I am pursuing a degree in Health Science to deepen my understanding of child development and well-being. I also volunteer as a childcare assistant English teacher and teach ESL in homeschooling environments, which has given me valuable experience in creating enriching and educational experiences for children.
