Hello, I’m Megumi!

I have over 12 years of childcare experience and have been passionate about working with children since I was very young. I began formally studying childcare at the age of 15 and started working in the field at 18.

I am a licensed childcare professional in Japan and have worked as a lead teacher at a nursery school, caring for children across a wide range of ages, including babies from 0 years old. I also have 5 years of professional babysitting experience, as well as one year of babysitting experience in Australia.

Throughout my career, I have also been involved in foster care and volunteered at children’s homes, which has given me the opportunity to support children from many different backgrounds.

What I value most in childcare is building genuine trust with each child, showing them warmth and affection, and respecting their individual personality, feelings, and pace.

I love creating fun and meaningful experiences through arts and crafts, creative play, and traditional Japanese games. For families visiting Japan, I especially enjoy introducing children to a little bit of Japanese culture through play.

My goal is not only to keep your child safe and comfortable, but also to make sure they have a fun, positive, and memorable time while in my care. I hope the time we spend together becomes one of the wonderful memories your family takes home from Japan.
