About Me

Hello! I’m Hanna, a nursing student based in Tokyo, currently specializing in postpartum care for newborns and mothers.
I’m passionate about supporting families during those early and tender stages of life, and in the future, I hope to start my own overnight postpartum care service here in Tokyo.
As a babysitter, I’m responsible, caring, and truly enjoy spending time with children. I have experience working with kids of various ages and always aim to create a safe, fun, and nurturing environment. I’m happy to help with light housekeeping, preparing simple meals, playing games, and supporting bedtime routines. I’m also comfortable engaging children in creative and educational activities.
Currently, I work part-time at GU in Tokyo, where I meet and chat with people from all over the world. This experience has made me want to help foreign tourists enjoy Japan as much as possible—especially families traveling with children.
In the past, I worked as an after-school teacher for elementary-aged children, where I loved creating fun activities and encouraging kids to try new things. I also lived in Ontario, Canada for a year during high school, where I fell in love with the nature and the kindness of the people.
One of my most memorable experiences was joining the international Ship for World Youth (SWY) program organized by the Japanese Cabinet Office. I spent a month on board with youth from around the world—including Argentina, Ethiopia, India, France, Ireland, Jordan, Kenya, Mexico, Türkiye, New Zealand, UAE, Solomon Islands, and Zambia—exchanging cultures and discussing global social issues. This experience deepened my love for cultural exchange and strengthened my openness to new perspectives.
I take my role as a sitter seriously and always do my best to provide thoughtful, attentive care. I’d love the opportunity to meet your family and see how I can help make your stay in Japan more comfortable and enjoyable!Ages Supported

Jessica R. (Queensland, Australia)We booked Hanna for four hours recently for our 7 and 10 y/o daughters, and they loved her! She entertained them in our hotel for 2 hours then took them out for an adventure for another 2 hours. It was actually one of the highlights of their Japan trip! We would definitely use Hanna again if we’re lucky enough to go back to Tokyo while the kids are still young

Yasmin (California, U.S.A.)We had Hanna as our babysitter and it was a great experience. She was helpful, friendly, and very good with kids. We would definitely use the service again if we are back in the future.

Jonathan H. (Nevada, U.S.A.)What an incredible service! I'm writing this review for Rainbow Kids Care and all their support during my family's trip to Japan in March of 2026.
We had three children in our group (my two sons, ages 4 & 6 and my nephew, age 7.) We planned a trip to Japan as a family, and over the course of our 10-day trip we wanted to go out on a few select nights and have some adult time while the kids slept.
I did some research, and found Rainbow Kids Care. We had three different nights we needed childcare in three difference cities in Japan. I coordinated the entire trip with Mai. She was very responsive, excellent communication with details, cost projections, and helping me schedule the service for the entire trip. Made the scheduling process so easy and answered every single question I had, and there were a lot of questions.Night #1: Tokyo
Sitters: Hanna & MakiNight #2: Kyoto
Sitters: Mika & MeiNight #3: Osaka
Sitter: Eiko
Note, our nephew was not with us for this night, so Eiko handled both my kids only. All five of the sitters communicated through what's app immediately after I completed the booking about a month in advance, and sent bios of themselves and templates to inquire about the kids, activities, schedules, any special notes, etc....
All five sitters then reached out a few days prior to our visit to review all the details, confirm the dates/times/location of the sitting and confirm the plan for that night.
Each sitter was in the lobby early and let me know they were on-site at the hotel/Ryokan when they arrived.
They all spoke perfect English and all the kids connected with them instantly!
Updates were sent throughout the night, amazing communication, and so comforting to know our kids were having fun, no issues and in-bed on time.
When we returned at the end of the nights, the kids were always sound asleep. Then we got a full comprehensive report from every single sitter summarizing the activities and timeline for the night. They worked on basic Japanese language skills, did origami and other art projects, played games together, etc....I would 1000% recommend this service from Rainbow Kids. And if you're visiting any of the cities above, and your need a sitter that speaks English, please request any of the five sitters I mentioned above. Their professionalism was above and beyond anything I could have anticipated.
Thank you to everyone for your support on the trip. Looking forward to coming back to Japan soon!Sincerely,
Jonathan -
Kate S. (Texas, U.S.A.)Amazing experience at rainbow kids. We had Babysitter few times and each time she came
early, speaking good English and so nice and sweet. She even offered to take kids to museum right by hotel and walk around the premises which is so helpful since we had just small room at Edition hotel . I felt very comfortable. They truly go beyond to make sure kids are happy and engaged. -
L. KA (Texas, U.S.A.)Hanna was absolutely a delight and a wonderful fit for our family during our day at TokyoDisney Sea.
She was fantastic with our 4 year old daughter and 8 month old baby boy. Along with being a wonderful sitter, she knows TokyoDisneySea/the park extremely well so it was like having a guided tour and a baby sitter in one. Highly recommend and we would use her again in the future! -
Alex D. (Victoria, Australia)Hanna took care of our kids for a couple of nights in Tokyo and she was amazing! The children took to her very quickly and she was able to complete their night routines without issue and get them off to sleep.
From a parent 's perspective I really appreciated the clear and professional communication. She got in touch well before our stay to ensure we both all the necessary information for everything to go smoothly. While we were out we had one or two updates or queries to know everything was alright and the kids had everything they needed, and we could just relax during our precious few hours to see Tokyo after dark.
Thanks Hanna!
