We used this babysitting service three times during our recent trip back to Japan—twice with Miho and once with Kira—and had a wonderful experience every time!
Our son was just about to turn two, and he had recently started becoming shy around new people, so I was a little nervous about leaving him with a babysitter. However, both Miho and Kira have such warm, friendly, and welcoming personalities that he quickly felt comfortable with them and seemed to be having a great time. Seeing him so happy and relaxed put my mind at ease, and we were able to leave him in their care for four hours.
Although they each have their own unique personalities and approaches, they share the same wonderful qualities. They both have a natural ability to make children feel comfortable, thoughtfully bring activities and toys that are likely to capture a child's interest, and are flexible and accommodating to parents' requests.
This experience really reminded me of the difference that professional childcare makes. Their ability to connect with a child so naturally, even during a potentially challenging stage like early toddlerhood, was truly impressive.
We are so grateful to have found this service and would absolutely love to use it again on our next trip to Japan. I would highly recommend them to any family looking for caring, professional, and reliable childcare, especially while traveling!

We had the best experience with Rainbow Kids! We traveled to Tokyo from Seattl3 for a wedding. We used their services while staying at a ryokan for the ceremony and reception. Our son was just under 1 year and had the BEST time with Kira. She was so kind and caring, played with him a ton to get out all his crazy energy and did two meals and bedtime! She was communicative and wonderful to work with. We felt so comfortable with Kira and the team at Rainbow Kids.

Kira was so wonderful! Very prompt, our little one took to her immediately and she updated us with photos and kept us in the loop while we were out. Came back to a sleeping baby, with a report to let me know what was completed with time stamps (e.g last feed/diaper change)

My girls (aged 4 and 6) have spent this evening being looked after by Kira. They had the most wonderful time with her. Kira took the time to ask what the girls were interested in and brought along crafts, stickers and colouring in. She arrived promptly and was so warm and friendly. She kept in touch throughout the evening and let us know how the girls were. We would not hesitate to book her again and would massively recommend to other families. Thank you so much !

I had a great experience with Rainbow Kids Care recently while on a trip to Japan. I had to attends meetings and conferences on two consecutive days, for a total of 15h, including meals, and bedtime routine. Communication with the company was clear, and they were very responsive. The babysitter, Kira, was great! My kids, 2 and 4, loved her! Before the first day, she contacted me to inquire about their preferred activities, schedule, etc... She then came fully prepared with activities and toys/materials based on our prior communication. She arrived on time, responded quickly to all communications, and I felt entirely safe leaving my children in her care. All in all, I highly recommend this service, and I would not hesitate to book Kira's services again on a future trip to Japan!
