About Me
Hello! My name is Kira, I’m 24 years old and currently work at a daycare in Tokyo as an assistant teacher, where I also teach English to the children. Every day I have the joy of supporting children in a safe and fun environment, and this hands-on experience has made me even more passionate about child care.
I’m originally from Japan and grew up with two younger brothers, much younger than me, whom I loved caring for when they were little. Taking care of them first sparked my love for working with children. From 2023 until April 2025, I lived in Colorado, USA, where I worked as an Au Pair. I took care of two wonderful children, which was a valuable and rewarding experience. During that time I learned patience, flexibility, and responsibility. Most importantly, I discovered how much I enjoy connecting with children and providing one-on-one care.
People often describe me as loving, reliable, creative, and fun to be around. Some of my favorite activities with kids include playing and exploring outside, drawing, painting, reading, baking, and dancing. My top priority when caring for children is to provide a safe, secure, and comfortable environment where they can enjoy activities tailored to their interests and personalities.

I was very nervous because we never get babysitters for him given his high support needs and Rainbow Kids Care blew me away with their interest and attention to learn about him and his needs, and match us with the most wonderful sitters. He had so much fun and I was relieved to have him in incredible hands with Bita, Kira and Mana! Would highly recommend!! If we come back to Japan, I will absolutely use them again!!

Mai went above and beyond to find a well suited babysitter for our two children. Our sitter arrived on time both days, she was very organised with toys that our children loved and was more than happy to help with all of their needs! She left a detailed summary for us and was very conscious in updating us before she left. A fabulous service!

Rainbow Kids Care was incredibly helpful in helping us find the best sitter for our kids when we were on vacation. Kira was amazing and so kind and patient with our kids. They went to pickup pizza, played at the park and went to 7/11 for treats. My kids were comfortable with her right away and she help my husband and I feel so confident in our choice to have a date night.

Kira was an amazing babysitter for our almost two year old! He doesn't always warm up to new people but she got him to play happily with her right off the bat. She brought some toys with her that he loved, which was very thoughtful and really helped. She watched him at our hotel while we went out to dinner. Communication was excellent and rates were more than fair. I would highly recommend her and this service to any traveler! Wishing her luck with her studies and future endeavors

Outstanding Babysitting Service – Kira and Miho
We are a Japanese–American family currently living in the United States, and during our recent stay in Yokohama, we used the babysitting service at this hotel twice. It was truly one of the best decisions we made during our trip.
We had the pleasure of meeting Kira and Miho, and I cannot praise them highly enough.
Although they have completely different personalities, both of them were absolutely exceptional. From the very first meeting, our 18-month-old child immediately felt comfortable with them — which rarely happens. By the time it was time for them to leave, our little one actually cried because they didn’t want them to go! As parents, that says everything.
Their English skills were flawless, but what impressed us even more was their professionalism and attention to detail. They confirmed everything carefully in advance, communicated thoughtfully before and during the babysitting sessions, and provided incredibly attentive and loving care. We felt 100% at ease leaving our most precious family member in their hands.
Traveling internationally with a toddler can be stressful, especially when arranging childcare in a different country. Thanks to Kira and Miho, our stay in Yokohama became relaxing, joyful, and truly memorable. They exceeded every expectation we had.
We are already looking forward to using this service again during our next visit to Japan, and we sincerely hope we can request Kira and Miho again. They are outstanding professionals and wonderful human beings.
