About Me
Hi there! My name is Miho, and I’m an experienced and caring babysitter originally from Tokyo. As a devoted mom of two, I’ve raised English-speaking children in diverse cultural settings, including Japan, the U.S., and Australia. These experiences have given me a strong understanding of nurturing children in multicultural environments.
For over six years, I’ve volunteered in an English-speaking community, working with children ages 3 to 12. I’ve led activities that inspire curiosity, foster a love for learning, and create a fun and supportive atmosphere.
In addition to my childcare experience, I bring a professional background with 11 years at an independent administrative agency under Japan’s Ministry of Economy, Trade, and Industry. During this time, I worked closely with clients to understand their needs and provided support to help them navigate complex export and import procedures for biological resources. This role taught me the importance of being reliable, detail oriented, and attentive—qualities I consistently apply when caring for children.
Thanks to my experience raising two children close in age and my volunteer work in children’s education, I’m great at quickly understanding each child’s personality and preferences. I work hard to tailor my approach to meet every child’s needs and ensure your family’s routines are respected and supported.

Miho was just amazing with our littles and really engaged with them throughout. She babysat for us regularly throughout our whole time there and was an invaluable part of our Japan experience. Our girls loved her, and she had such a fun, positive attitude and always brought something new for them to play with and stay occupied. She was always on time and very communicative, and I loved talking with her as well. Not only was Miho great with our girls, but she also went above and beyond to help us learn our way around, find groceries, go to the park, and recommend fun things to do and see outside of the babysitting. She even went grocery shopping with me to help me orient to the Japanese grocery store and make delicious foods for my family, and then taught me how to make them back at our apartment!Rainbow Kids and Mai-san were wonderful to work with and very responsive throughout our stay even as our needs shifted throughout our time (I hurt my arm partway through and needed some last-minute care!).

Miho was the best! She was very warm and welcoming to my 21 month son. He is usually shy to strangers at first but not with Miho! He did not even cry when we left. My son played with her, did some drawings, and fell asleep easily on his own. The only thing I wished I’ve done was to book Miho and this service for more days on our trip.
