My name is Anju, and I am 27 years old. I was born and raised in Kyoto, Japan, and have always had a strong passion for working with children. Since my teenage years, I have genuinely enjoyed caring for and supporting children, which inspired me to build my career in childcare and education.

I earned my School Nurse Teacher license in Japan, where I studied child health, safety, and education. Later, I continued my studies in Toronto, Canada, specializing in Early Childhood Education. Through both my education and hands-on experience, I have developed a deep understanding of children’s developmental needs and the importance of creating a safe, nurturing, and positive environment for every child.

I have experience caring for children of a wide range of ages, from infants as young as 3 months old to teenagers. I worked at a daycare center in Canada for two years, primarily caring for infants, and also worked as a childcare assistant at an international preschool in Japan. In addition, I gained valuable experience through childcare practicums, volunteer activities with children in Cambodia, and coaching ice hockey for elementary school-aged children. These experiences have helped me become patient, flexible, attentive, and confident in adapting to each child’s unique personality and needs.

I always strive to create an environment where children feel safe, comfortable, respected, and free to be themselves. Building trusting relationships with both children and parents is extremely important to me, and I truly value creating meaningful connections with the families I support.

I enjoy engaging children through crafts, storytelling, outdoor play, and fun cultural activities such as origami, kendama, simple Japanese writing, and reading Japanese picture books in English. I love helping children learn and explore in ways that are enjoyable, interactive, and age-appropriate.

As someone who loves traveling and learning about different cultures, I especially enjoy supporting visiting families and helping them create wonderful memories during their time in Japan. I am fluent in English and happy to assist during hotel stays, sightseeing trips, park visits, and special outings such as Disneyland. Above all, I always prioritize each child’s safety, comfort, and happiness.

Outside of childcare, I enjoy ice hockey, going to the gym, running, traveling, and watching sports.
